18th-century American bow-back seven full-spindle Windsor arm chair with baluster-turned legs and H-stretcher, and single-beaded seat.
Seat is pine, rail maple, spindles hickory. Several old repairs at left arm, on seat at left side, and on center back rail. Gouges to front right foot. Wear on arms and back of seat. No visible evidence of prior paint. 38 inches tall; 25 3/4 inches wide at tip of arms; seat 15 inches front to back and 20 1/2 inches side to side, and 1 3/4 deep at center front (deepest part).
Purchased from private collection. Probably made in New York.
